Tokyo, along with Rio, Madrid and Chicago, has made it through to the next round of the Olympic city nominations. In Japan, this was widely heralded as a very good piece of news and Tokyo governor, Ishihara, will no doubt be ready to steam on with the campaign. Tokyo for 2016 is obviously the best option. For safety, service, interest and efficiency it is head and shoulders above its Latin and US competitors. Japan did a good job with the World Cup and has made a notable contribution in terms of the unique sports it has added to the Olympic repertoire, from Sumo to Judo. I think that Tokyo is the best place for 2016 Olympic Game.

The Spanish capital has made its case for hosting the 2016 Olympic Games to the International Olympic Committee. Madrid has campaigned for the Olympic Games before, losing out to London for the 2012 games. If Madrid wins its Olympic bid, it would be the second time Spain has hosted the Olympic Games. In 1992, the world's premier sporting event was held in Barcelona. At the time, the Barcelona games were seen as evidence that Spain had completed its transition to a modern country, after the reign of General Franco had blighted the country's world image for much of the 20th century. Madrid's candidature this time around will focus on it being the 'safest choice for 2016.

Chicago is no newcomer to Olympic bids. In 1901, the city was unanimously chosen by the IOC to stage the 1904 Summer Olympics but the Games were moved to St. Louis to coincide with the 1904 World's Fair. Chicago also bid for the 1952 and 1956 Summer Olympics but without success. The bidding process for the 2016 Olympic Games was officially launched on May 16, 2007.

We can offer a very favourable time zone for broadcasters, new markets forsponsors and a stage like no other to host the Games. We can build a bridgefrom London 2012 to Rio 2016, passing the baton to pursue the mission ofinspiring young people all around the world.Rio recently hosted the Pan American games and after the 2014 World Cup (The World`s biggest sporting event) I`m sure the facilities will be there. Question is if the people of Rio would really be truly into having their city invaded once more so soon after 2014 which should be a mammoth affair.

impression of the Windy city

The four candidate cities wich are Tokyo, Madrid, Rio, and Chicago are all of them have their own possibilities to participate the 2016 Summer Olimpics. Madrid, meanwhile, is bidding on the back of finishing a close third behind London and Paris in the race for the 2012 Games, and Tokyo hopes to host the event for the first time sincde 1964.International Olimpic committee prefer to choose a different continent that already chosen the last Olimpics.So tokyo have a small chanse to host the Olimpic.Next world cup host city is Rio de Janeiro thats why it have also small chanse host the next summer olimpic in 2016. Chicago steel have a lot of chanse to host the next Olimpics 2016.I think the most people who are in Chicago want that Chicago host the olimpic because we dont have to go anywhere to watch olimpic.

Initial impressions

The 2016 Games' final four candidates also include Madrid, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro. My initial impression of the four candidate is Chicago. So far i have seen it could possibly be the only City where it would be hosting the 2016 Summer Olympics. Considering that London is to host the 2012 Summer Games and China held it last year. Because for each Olympic Summer Games different continent of the world would be chosen for the hosting games.
